The flight is from Vienna during January 2025 - during the main season. Many dates can be combined from November 2024 to February 2025.
The transfer in Abu Dhabi (there 3:25 hours, back 9:35 hours) is not assured during both your way there and back, or you can make a longer stop and visit Dubai. Flight tickets need to be purchased on 2 separate reservations: Vienna - Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi - Maldives (transfer is at your own risk).
There are many dates to choose from November 2024 to February 2025. The main season here lasts from October to April (dry season), but we do not recommend traveling during Ramadan (28th February - 29th March 2025).

These tickets do not guarantee a connection - if there is a delay and you thus miss your subsequent flight, the responsibility lies on you. However, there is a longer transfer time which should be sufficient even in case of delays.
The plane arrives in the Maldives around 7:00 am and departs from the Maldives around 8:00 am - it may happen that some boats from the airport to the islands do not operate at convenient times - find out directly at your accommodation if they have a boat that day that connects to these flights. If not, depending on your needs, you may have to spend the first or last night on the island of Hulhumalé near the airport, for example, in the hotel h78**** (recommended).
We recommend these local islands in the Maldives: Ukulhas and Dhiffushi (the two we visited), but Thoddoo, Maafushi, Dhigurah, Gulhi or Rasdhoo are also great.
If you have a longer transfer in Abu Dhabi, we recommend the Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport*** - it is right at the airport. Alternatively, in the city, we recommend Traders Hotel****, close to the Grand Mosque and about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi for a few euros.
