Flights are from Vienna during January and February 2025 - during the main season. Many dates can be combined from December 2024 to February 2025.
On the journey there and back, the transfer in Abu Dhabi is unsecured (there 9:00 hrs., back 4:40 hrs.), or you can choose to have a longer stopover and visit Dubai. Tickets need to be purchased for 2 separate reservations: Vienna - Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi - Maldives (transfer is at your own risk).
There are many dates available from December 2024 to February 2025. The main season here lasts from October to April (dry period), but travelling during Ramadam is not recommended (28th February - 29th March 2025).

These tickets do not guarantee a connecting flight - in case of delay and subsequent missing of another flight, it is at your own responsibility. However, there is a longer time for the transfer, which should be sufficient even in case of delay.
The flight to the Maldives arrives around 7:00 in the morning and from the Maldives, the flight departs around 8:00 in the morning - it may happen that some ships from the airport to the islands do not operate at convenient times - find out directly at the accommodation, whether they have a ship on that day that connects with these flights. If not, you may need to spend the first or last night on the island of Hulhumalé near the airport, for example, in hotel h78**** (recommended).
We would recommend these local islands in the Maldives: Ukulhas and Dhiffushi (we visited these two), but Thoddoo, Maafushi, Dhigurah, Gulhi or Rasdhoo are also great.
If you have a longer layover in Abu Dhabi, we recommend the hotel Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport*** - it is directly at the airport. Alternatively, in the city we recommend Traders Hotel****, near the Grand Mosque and about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport for a couple of euros.
