We recommend accommodation in the resort of Kardamena in the south of the island of Kos. The beach, 4km long, is one of the longest on the island, with fine sand and a gradual entrance to the sea. Pedal boats and other water sports can be rented on the beach. There are also many Greek restaurants (taverns) and nightclubs. From Kardamena you can also go on various boat trips, for example to the island of Nissyros, whose dominant feature is an inactive volcano.
