We recommend taking a trip from Catania to Mount Etna. A bus from the main station in Catania goes to the lower cable car station at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level, departing every day at 8:30 AM and the journey takes 2 hours. You can buy a ticket for the cable car on the spot; you can choose between just the cable car to 2500 meters above sea level for €52, or we recommend also taking a 4x4 bus with a short guided hike to 3000 meters above sea level for €80 - more information: www.funiviaetna.com.
