How to go watch the Northern Lights in Iceland? We decided to go with a local guide in a minibus to have the best chance to see it. Sample 5-day itinerary to Iceland (from Reykjavík):
Day 1:
- Hallgrímskirkja: Visit Reykjavík's iconic church with panoramic views from the tower.
- Harpa: Check out the modern concert hall and cultural center with beautiful architecture.
- Perlan: Discover a view of the city and an exhibition about Icelandic natural phenomena.
- Laugavegur: Stroll along the main shopping street with shops, cafes and restaurants.
- Aurora Borealis: In the evening, go to observe the Northern Lights.
2nd day:

- Sólheimajökull: Walk the glacier and explore the ice formations.
- Dyrhólaey: Stop at the promontory with the lighthouse for a beautiful view of the coast and the ocean.
5th day:
- Blue Lagoon: Relax in the thermal waters of this world-famous geothermal spa.
