We recommend accommodation in the resort of Kardamena in the south of the Kos Island. The beach, stretching for 4km, is one of the longest on the island, with fine sand and a gradual entry into the sea. On the beach, you can rent pedal boats and other water sports. There are also many Greek restaurants (taverns) and night clubs here. From Kardamena, you can also go on various boat trips, for example to the island of Nissyros, whose dominant feature is a dormant volcano.
The island of Kos, located in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea, is one of the jewels of Greece. This island is popular for its colourful history, beautiful beaches and hospitable inhabitants. The advantage of Kos is its diversity - here you will find quiet corners as well as lively tourist centres.
The history of Kos is visible at every turn. For example, you can visit the Asklepieion, an ancient healing centre named after the god of healing, Asklepios, which is set in a magnificent location overlooking the surrounding sea. Another important monument is the medieval castle of Neratzia, which guards the entrance to Kos town and offers visitors the opportunity to walk along its walls and enjoy the view of the harbour.
On Kos you can enjoy long sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, which are ideal for swimming and water sports. Among the most popular beaches are Tigaki and Marmari, where you can just relax or go windsurfing or kitesurfing. The island also offers great opportunities for cycling and exploring lesser-known areas by bike.
Kos is a destination that captivates every visitor with its rich history, breathtaking natural scenery and friendly atmosphere. Whether you are looking for cultural experiences, relaxing on the beach or active relaxation, Kos has something for everyone.
